About SANE Counselling

SANE Australia’s new free counselling service for people affected by complex mental health issues. SANE Counselling connects people with a counsellor for one-on-one, non-judgemental, confidential, single-session support to explore what’s challenging and share ideas for longer-term help. Counsellors are available over the phone, via web chat or email and will also speak to friends, family and health professionals about their concerns.

Is there a cost to use SANE Counselling?

There is no cost to use SANE Counselling.

How to access SANE Counselling

SANE Counselling is available via phone, web chat and email from 10am to 8pm Monday to Friday AEST/AEDT. SANE Counselling can be accessed online at https://www.sane.org/counselling-support or by calling 1800 187 263.

Free Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) is available by calling 131 450.
