About FriendLine
FriendLine is an anonymous telephone and online chat service helping Australians reconnect. The service connects people experiencing loneliness with local, trained volunteers for a chat and to share a story of two. All FriendLine conversations are anonymous and confidential however, it is not a crisis service.
What are the benefits of using FriendLine?
FriendLine exists to bring people together and combat loneliness. The benefits of using the service are a pleasant conversation with someone who genuinely wants to hear from you, and has the time to spend connecting with you.
Although not a crisis support line, FriendLine volunteers receive training and are available for a chat during the day when users need a friendly ear or an uplifting story or two.
FriendLine creates a totally anonymous space for people to reach out and connect with others whether over a call or via the online chat service. For those who may be hesitant to reach out to others in person or are unsure how to combat their loneliness, this is the perfect platform.
